Denver Airport. Friday, July 25th 2014
On this day we had several hours to kill while waiting for Chris's next flight. We sat, walked, talked, ate food, and snuggled (while trying not to look too scandalous with him in uniform.) We had a grand time. But then I got really hungry for a McDonald's apple pie. Yes, you did read that right. I have a major weakness for their apple pies. I was eating our packed food all day and I was really wanting something warm.
So, Chris being the amazing man he is, marched me down Concourse B to find the McDonald's. But, we found it closed for renovations. Tragedy! Darn. So...Chris being the even more amazing husband (who also shares my love the the same pies) found that there was another McD's in Terminal A.

Down we went – down two escalators and to the trains. We hopped on the train and whoosh - we were at A. We got off and found the McD's. Got two apple pies and walked back to the trains. We ended up getting on the one that goes to the main terminal and baggage, so we stayed on to ride back to B.
We sat in the very back window and when the train started to go back towards B – we were in the front , a great view of the dark tunnel. There are silver propeller like things on the walls of the tunnel and they spin in the wind and reflect light. I kept thinking of the scene in Willy Wonka where they go through that tunnel in the boat. The tune that Wonka starts humming kept going through my head.
So we took two trains and had an adventure...just because I was craving an apple pie.
