The Man With Stinky Feet

Salt Lake City Airport - August 1st, 2014

I plan to apply (very soon) to be on the TSA Pre-Check list. With the amount of flying that I have been doing and will be doing...it just makes sense. Then Chris and I can go through security together and no more panic attacks in long security lines.

This last time about did me in...

Up until that day I could go through the pre-check line with Chris when he was in uniform. But this time it was a no go and the rules had just changed. No big deal, I am well accustomed to long security lines. But, this day however, the line was very very long and very warm.

Chris had to get to his plane (he had a flight before I would be able to catch up with him again). I watched (from my well entrenched spot in the very long line). the back of that handsome head of his glide through security. "So long" husband - see ya in a few hours!

The line snaked its way around. Half way through a panic attack hit. I was really hot and feeling very close to falling over and passing out. I wanted to cry and run....but as I looked back, the line grew to a thousand more people (OK, maybe 100, but it was SUPER long!) I pressed forward, determined to have that liaison in St. George with my pilot.

Okay, finally made it to those lovely gray bins. Oh, I am so warm! OH! what is that smell?! Now I am really going to drop. Apparently I was not the only one either. Poor man...a few people up the line from me..the man had taken off his shoes and all eyes were on him and all noses pointed the other direction.

It passes quickly, he was gone and I was buckling up my sandals. But I thought it was worth noting...
